Almost everybody nowadays owns a website, but what good is it when NOBODY knows about it ?
What you want is traffic, thousands of hits per day. Maybe you have some affiliate links on your site and hope to make a few bucks off it. Or maybe you got a blog and want loads of people to join in your discussion.
One option is to pay an advertising company a few hundred dollars to do the job, or you can join Google's Adwords to help you out, but this all cost money. What I am about to reveal to you, will cost you absolutely nothing at all. It will only cost you your time and effort.
Ask yourself the following question. DO I REALLY WANT TRAFFIC? If your answer is YES you need to build one-way backlinks to your website or blog. The search engines will love you for it.
Why is it so important to have backlinks?
You see, when the search engine spiders crawl these websites, they will most definately find your link and crawl your site. So every website on which the search engine spider finds your link will basically be forced to crawl to your site as the link on those sites points the spiders in your direction. Then you'll want to kick yourself, because now, then they might not be accepting anymore links because their pagerank 0 went up to pagerank 7!!
So what can you do to get these free backlinks? You just have to write one article about any topic you are good at. Then join as many article directories as you can and submit your article there. They are free to join and there are literally thousands of these directories on the net. Some will accept your article, while others might decline it. However, the bottom line is, those who accept it, are giving you valuable backlinks to your website, which automatically creates free traffic.

Starting a home-based business is a huge undertaking. Creating an online presence for your business can be equally overwhelming. Where do you begin to learn the basics of creating your first website? Next, it’s time to create your website. Sit down and write out everything you want your website to include. Make a list of all the products, details, prices, and options your customers will want to know. Customers like clean, warm websites where they feel that they have all of the necessary information and can trust the person they are purchasing from.
Now it’s time to plan out the design and layout of your website. This aspect is very important. You will need to make sure that your layout is clear and easy to navigate. If possible, include a menu that is easy to find and contains all of the different sections you’ve included on the site.

Is Working At Home For You ??
Working at home has always been a dream for millions of people. After all, who wants to spend their entire life in a thankless job for very little pay? All of us want a little more out of life than what we actually have now. Working at home seems like the answer to so many of our problems. So, we ask ourselves...is working at home, for me ??
If you decide to work at home, you should not make this decision lightly. It is not for everyone. A home based business, as comfortable as it may seem, carries a significant amount of risk with it. There is always a possibility that the business will fail. However, if you do research and make good decisions right from the start, you will set a solid foundation for the years ahead. You will drastically increase your chances of success. Starting your own home business is risky, there's no doubt about it. However, you also stand to realize a nice income for yourself.
There are many advantages to working at home. For many, not having to go to the office daily, is incentive enough. Imagine not having to waste countless hours being stuck in rush hour traffic or paying a small fortune filling your car's tank. When you work at home you take control of your time and decide how to spend it. You set the hours. Of course, this can be a double edged sword. If you are not the disciplined type, you might end up procrastinating on the responsibilities associated with a home based business, or perhaps not do them at all. This will most certainly cause your home business to fail.
Another big advantage to a home bases business is that YOU get to choose the job. Turning your hobby or passion into a profitable business is a great idea, just make sure there’s a market for it. Doing something you enjoy can almost make it seem as if it isn't work at all.
